Airports & Airplanes 1

I was just watching a film when I caught myself counting (on my fingers!) the number of airports I got to visit during my trip.. it makes me smile (that I'm still counting on my fingers & that this actually matters to me!) but how could it not matter? Every time I know I'll be taking a plane soon, I'm reduced into a child .. the child I was (some) years ago... It's  indescribable !

First of all, if you must know, it took me so (so) long to get on a plane.

Playing with my childhood friends, we always stopped what we're doing when a plane passed over our heads. Some of us would even jump up & down in desprate attempts  to wave goodbye (or hello) to the passengers (well they seemed that close!) , or even to try to get closer to the plane (not so bright children, alas!). So when I was given my itenirary with two stops on the way (which means at the end of the day I would visit three airports), while most of my colleagues got a direct trip for the same destination ( on the same night !), it ( for me) translated as: I'll be taking three plane rides while everybody else is taking just one (together) ! Yaaaaaaaay, lucky me!

I wasn't really keen on taking any airport pictures ( something I'm reconsidering now), but my eyes were definitely wide open capturing every detail ( & since I can't sleep while riding any transportation no matter how tired I'm, I kinda spent two days awake on the way & once more coming back, so at the end of each trip, I can't say that my eyes were that open). Other than the sleep deprivation; handling a carry-on, a handbag and a computer bag was another good reason not stop every minute, put all this aside, put a smile on my face & take a picture; especially that I only had few hours between each flight. However, I ,somehow, managed to take a couple of pictures at O'Hare airport simply because it was different from any other airport & creatively decorated.. I wonder if I can locate any of these pictures now!
